Amanda Prince has been dancing for sixteen years.   She is a graduate of North Springs Charter High School of Arts and Sciences in Atlanta, GA.  She was a member of her schools dance company for four years.  Her senior year of high school, Amanda became a dance teacher assistant, and she had the opportunity to set choreography on her peers.  She also participated in things such as Project Dance which is student based choreography.  She has choreographed many things such solos, duets, and group numbers.  She has studied in numerous places such as Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Dance Theatre, Alabama Dance Theatre, South Eastern Regional Ballet Association/Regional Dance America (SERBA/RDA), GloAtl, and Governor’s Honor Program in Valdosta, GA.  After high school, Amanda attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City in the professional division. Her choreography was selected one out of fifty pieces to be performed in Alvin Ailey’s Annual Fall Fest. There, she was blessed with a scholarship to attend Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet Summer Intensive for six weeks in San Francisco, California.    Recently, Amanda had the opportunity to work with Debbie Allen on an original production “Derek’s Song” in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Meet Amanda Prince

Currently, Amanda is a dance teacher at the Rhonda Edmondson School of Dance in Metairie, LA, where she teaches Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary.  She is fully invested in the arts and Amanda firmly believes that without art we are unable to express who we really are. She very excited to be a part of Passion Dance Center and is looking forward to a fabulous year!
